Social Element presents the 'One Foot Out the Door' fashion show on Friday, May 28, featuring young up and coming designers. Glock Dead Gorgeous, Krochet Kids, Made on Long Island, Point & Shoot, and Too Shea have teamed up with branding and business development firm Social element to showcase their latest designs and raise money for Social Elements Kilimanjaro charity climb benefiting local non-profit Kid-too-Kid.
Social Element recently collaborated with Kid-too-Kid to create K-Prep, a hybrid service project/college prep program for local high school students. K-Prep is a year long commitment which will require students to create and execute a group service project, while receiving assistance with preparation for their lives post graduation.
This winter three SE reps will participate in a Mount Kilimanjaro charity climb benefiting K-Prep. Through fundraisers, sponsorships, and donations Social Element hopes to raise at lease $10,000 for K-Prep.
The 'One Foot Out the Door' fashion show is the first of a series of fundraisers Social Element is expected to host this summer. The show will be held at East Hampton Point with a brief reception at 8 p.m., and the runway show will begin promptly at

On May 13, 2010 William was invited by Ms. Lizette M. Wright, of Dowling College, to speak to the Participants of the Dowling College Youth Mentoring Program. The Youth Mentoring Program is made up of 6th and 7th graders from the Mulligan Intermediate School in Central Islip N.Y.. William spoke on the character of a leader and what it means to be a leader. The Dean of Academic Support Services, Dr. Kevin D. Jordan, was very impressed with William. Teachers from the Mulligan Intermediate School were in attendance and they too were very impressed with William's speech. The kids were thankful for hearing someone who is the same age as them and in the same grade, KtK continues to touch the lives of kids in our communities.

The Ambassador Program
What is the Kid-too-Kid Ambassador Program? A Kid-too-Kid Ambassador is a committed youth leader that wants to work towards making their community better. The KTK Ambassador takes time to work with other youth within their schools to bring awareness to major issues that are impacting the lives of youth today. A KTK Ambassador helps to support other students whom may need academic support, fundraise for events to assist other students in need, discuss ideas and ways to make effective changes, and volunteer at events. The KTK Ambassador learns that compassion and empathy is needed to stand in the gap for others when they need it the most. Ambassadors find solutions to provide school and art supplies, as well as tutoring to students whom would not otherwise receive these services because they are unable to afford them or their school districts may not be funded for such programs. Ambassadors are community leaders that want to make a difference and realize that it has to start with the youth.
What age do I need to be to become an Ambassador? The age of a KTK Ambassador would be 11 years old through College.
How can I become a Kid-too-Kid Ambassador? To be an Ambassador, you have to do two things: 1. Decide to that you want to be committed to the program. 2. Attend a meeting to learn how to set up the program in your school. Finally, you will have a contract that is valid for 1 year. You will have to serve for one year as an Ambassador.
What opportunities does a KTK Ambassador provide? 1. Receive community service hours. 2. Travel 3. meet other youth from different cultures. 4. build friendly relationships while helping other youth. 5. Giving of yourself(empathy) 6. Become a tutor/ mentor 7. Fund raise and plan events for youth 8. Research and learn about various places KTK will service. Most of all Make a Difference in another youth's life and have the chance to give back.
